Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. The role involves set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience Rotating shifts.
