Urgent requirement: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in De Soto Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day to day you will record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site.
