Rebar installer • The Scottish Borders, Scotland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar installer in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. Your main tasks: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
