Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Granville County, North Carolina. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges.
