Now hiring: gang bricklayer (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Jewell County, Kansas. You will be based at a residential building site. Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
