Argon welder wanted in Saint Clair County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Saint Clair County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 5+ years on the tools preferred.
