Tailor machinist — San Patricio County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in San Patricio County, Texas. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus You will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching.
