Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Zaria, Kaduna State. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Your main tasks: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
