Now hiring: we are hiring a cold room technician in Appomattox County, Virginia. The job is in an AC and refrigeration showroom. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC You will read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight.
