Safety officer wanted in Charleston County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Charleston County, South Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills 6+ years on the tools preferred. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
