Stainless steel welder • Cortland County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Cortland County, New York. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
