Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Benton County, Iowa. The job is on a high-rise construction site. The role involves pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker. What we are looking for: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Six days a week, one day off.
