Urgent requirement: we are hiring a MIG welder in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Day-to-day duties: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Full-time with occasional weekends.
