Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Knox County, Texas. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level The role involves: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Six days a week, one day off.
