Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Sarasota County, Florida. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run 4+ years on the tools preferred.
