Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
