Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Garfield County, Washington. Your main tasks: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
