Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. You will work at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. On the job you will handle: • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together Requirements: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Own basic hand tools • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
