Car service technician — Sitka City and Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a car service technician in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. Day-to-day duties: • Replace alternators, starter motors and batteries • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts • Carry out oil and filter changes • Check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid • Trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems • Carry out suspension and steering repairs Ideal candidate: • At least 2 years' hands-on experience as a car mechanic • ITI / NVQ Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance • Confident using diagnostic scan tools 3+ years on the tools preferred.
