Day to day you will clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed. Ideal candidate: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Six days a week, one day off.
