Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in City of Kingston upon Hull, England. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
