Trainee butcher • Albany County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Albany County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
