Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Archuleta County, Colorado. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
