Great opportunity: foundry operative (Maryland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in City of Baltimore, Maryland. You will be based on the moulding line. The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
