Urgent requirement: core maker (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Houghton County, Michigan. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
