Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Clinton County, Missouri. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium You will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
