Great opportunity: bakery assistant (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Black Hawk County, Iowa. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. Requirements: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Day to day you will shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter.
