Reinforcement fitter wanted in Hancock County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Hancock County, Iowa. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
