Brickwork mason wanted in Monmouthshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Monmouthshire, Wales. You will be based on a busy housing site. On the job you will handle: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 6+ years on the tools preferred.
