Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Holt County, Missouri. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances You will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. 1+ years on the tools preferred. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
