Immediate opening: stainless steel welder (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Livingston County, Illinois. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On a typical shift you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks.
