Immediate opening: steel fixing chargehand (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Mason County, Illinois. You will work at a high-rise construction project. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
