Slinger signaller — Winn Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Winn Parish, Louisiana. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. You will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Six days a week, one day off.
