Great opportunity: we are hiring a finishing presser in Caldwell County, Texas. You will be based in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Give each garment a final press before packing • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
