Vacancy available: we are hiring a backhoe operator in City of Martinsville, Virginia. You will work in an open-cast quarry. Your main tasks: • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient You should have: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Full-time, day shift.
