Formwork carpenter • Harrison County, West Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Harrison County, West Virginia. The job is on a bridge and flyover project. What we are looking for: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules The role involves: • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) Full-time, day shift.
