Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Mercer County, Kentucky. You will work at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
