Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Schoharie County, New York. You will work at a residential building site. Day to day you will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage 5+ years on the tools preferred.
