Brick mason — Christian County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Christian County, Illinois. The job is at a residential building site. You will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
