Immediate opening: lift installation engineer (North Carolina)

Now hiring: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in Currituck County, North Carolina. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Day to day you will carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways 2+ years on the tools preferred.
