Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Chariton County, Missouri. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
