We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Angelina County, Texas. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
