Sand plant operator — City of Roanoke

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in City of Roanoke, Virginia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
