On a typical shift you will set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations. Requirements: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Rotating shifts. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
