Immediate opening: steel fixer (Zamfara State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Maru, Zamfara State. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire On the job you will handle: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
