Immediate opening: we are hiring a building site helper in Saint John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana. On the job you will handle: • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days Ideal candidate: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
