Vacancy available: we are hiring a presser in Taylor County, Iowa. The job is at a dry cleaner's. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
