Lift maintenance fitter wanted in DeKalb County

Now hiring: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in DeKalb County, Alabama. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. On a typical shift you will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays. What we are looking for: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
