Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Bath County, Virginia. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level The role involves: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
