Concrete pump mate • McDowell County, North Carolina

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in McDowell County, North Carolina. You will be based on a building construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Your main tasks: • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
